Corporate Actions Specialist, 12 month Fixed Term Contract - Edinburgh

Salary: Highly competitive salary dependent on experience

Sanderson are recruiting a Corporate Actions Specialist on behalf of one of the UK's leading asset management organisations. This is an exciting time to join a well established, forward thinking business during an exciting period of growth.

Based in the Edinburgh office, you will be working as part of a team that provides Proxy voting services for business's institutional & retail funds and also manages Corporate Action workflows. Your role will be to ensure timely execution of decisions on voluntary events and ensuring accuracy of postings on mandatory and voluntary events. This role will involve training in Corporate Action with an aim to provide cover and support for the on-desk specialist perhaps up to a couple of days a week. There will also be a requirement to provide support for the Proxy voting service.

Responsibilities:

Liaise with the Fund Management teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of instructions.

Coordinate the execution and delivery of instructions across several investment teams and a selection of third party service providers.

Liaise with Relevant teams to recall securities subject to stock lending.

Arrange letters of representation to enable fund managers to attend shareholder meetings.

Maintain an audit trail of decisions.

Produce regular reports to Client Services. Produce ad hoc reports to Fund Managers.

Liaise directly with service providers to investigate and resolve issues.

Take on additional training to provide cover where necessary. Build understanding of the core process, of the relevant TPAs and be comfortable working towards potentially strict deadlines.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

Specific knowledge and practical experience in asset management administration.

Highly confident liaising internally with global fund management teams and externally with established third party administrators.

previous experience of dealing with Corporate Actions.

Experience of liaising with external/outsourced providers (Advantageous).

Previous administrative experience in a professional office environment.

Experience with the Corporate Action process (specific training will be provided)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Confidence in working with numerical information.

Confidence in working to tight deadlines.
